"Even those women who do not consciously embrace the rabidly radical positions of the women's liberation movement are, however, still affected by this continuous flow of propaganda. The constant repetition of the tenets of feminism causes such falsehoods to appear valid by their familiarity. Evidence of this insidious influence is found even in the church, where fewer and fewer women are living their lives as biblical helpmates. Those young Christian women who DO dare to put husband and family first are frequently made to feel inadequate and inferior, guilty of the "waste" of their unrealized potential.
"I believe the majority of women who are influenced by Satan's present-day deceptions are unaware that they are following his lead in rebelling against God's created order... If Satan had picked the fruit and handed it to her, [Eve] might have recoiled. Instead, by appealing to her pride, he was able to trick her into disobeying God's command."
(From p. 24 of "On the Other Side of the Garden: Biblical Womanhood for Today's World" by Virginia Fugate, (c) 1992, published by the Aletheia Division of Alpha Omega Publications)
Hence, I repeat myself, and repeat myself, and repeat myself...
And hence, we must repeat the Word, and repeat the Word, and repeat the Word...
And apply, apply, apply...
(Excellent book, by the way.)
You struck the nail on the head Perry. My Mom has always struggled with people looking down on her because she wants to be a mother. Or saying, "It's nice that you're doing that but I don't feel "called.""
